DRawings and dialogue

外国人 - Outsider - المتنّقل

This series began in 2020. During lockdown,

I began drawing other people's living rooms and dining rooms which later I developed in color as a dialogue with Artificial Intelligence. 

All of these photographed drawings have an original physical copy in black and white 

The drawings were made with black ink, graphite and markers.

For the series, I created my set of rules to collaborate with Artificial Intelligence;

1- All artworks must be originally drawn or made by the artist themselves before introducing the subject-matter to AI. 

2- Scan the original artworks 

3- Create a continuous dialogue with Artificial Intelligence

4- Rework again on the Same artwork 

5- Repeat the process until desired result is achieved   

A non-human dialogue 

in the midst of a pandemic lockdown 

absent of human presence. 

This dialogue integrates multiple subject matters together. The lack of human presence isn't only because of the pandemic, but 2020 was also the year I had to move back to Cincinnati. The lack of humans here also reference the lack of relating to people, the readjustment and the culture shock; the outsider.
